Prior to being named Vice President of Marketing & Business Development in January 2013, Tracy A. Szarzi-Fors served as WPCU’s Director of Marketing & Business Development since 2007. With more than 25 years of marketing, business development, advertising, public relations, brand management and community development experience, she has also held positions as Corporate Marketing Manager for Pleasant Street Homes, Publisher/Owner of The Builder’s Journal, and Executive Director for the Jackson Area Manufacturers Association in Jackson, MI.

Ms. Szarzi-Fors is highly involved in her community. She is currently serving as a Board of Trustee for Crayons to Classrooms, serves the Chair for the Wright State University’s Raj Soin College of Business Emerging Leader Advisory Board and sits on the advisory board for Project Read. She served as a Board Trustee for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Miami Valley for five years and served on the YWCA Women of Influence Committee. She has led efforts resulting in WPCU raising nearly $1 million for local community organizations through the Sunshine Community Fund, which now solely supports financial wellness initiatives. Ms. Szarzi-Fors also created the nationally recognized and awarded WPCU Savings Race – a financial competition that taught households how to reduce debt and increase savings – which ran for seven years.

In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University, Ms. Szarzi-Fors holds a Master’s Certificate from the University of Dayton’s Emerging Leader Program. As part of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, she was selected by area leaders to participate in Leadership Dayton – class of 2016.

Honors include The Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action from both CUNA (Credit Union National Association) and the Ohio Credit Union League for the “You Save or We Pay” campaign in 2012 and also the Savings Race (1st and 2nd Editions) in 2010. In 2010, Ms. Szarzi-Fors received the Cutting Edge Marketing Brilliance Award in the non-agency category for the patronage dividend viral social media video campaign, “PD the Dollar Dude”, from the Ohio Credit Union League.

She lives in Beavercreek with her son and dog. She is a strong advocate for financial health and wellness, literacy and dyslexia initiatives.
