Thea Garon

Senior Manager, CFSI

Thea is a Senior Manager, conducting research to monitor and analyze emerging trends in the financial services industry and shares CFSI’s expertise with internal and external stakeholders in the sector. Thea’s expertise and passion for her work derives from a longstanding commitment to working with underserved communities.

Prior to joining CFSI, Thea interned as a policy analyst at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Office of Financial Empowerment. She also worked as a research assistant at NYU’s Financial Access Initiative (FAI), a research center focused on improving the lives of low-income households in the developing world through innovations in financial services.

When not at CFSI, Thea enjoys biking around the beautiful borough of Brooklyn and enjoying all that it has to offer. Thea holds a Masters of Urban Planning from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service and graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with a B.A. in History.
